Judith Masthoff (2002). Modeling a group of television viewers. Proceedings of the Future TV: Adaptive Instruction In Your Living Room (A workshop for ITS 2002) pp.. http://www.it.bton.ac.uk/staff/jfm5/FutureTV/Masthoff.pdf

Abstract
Watching television tends to be a social activity. So, adaptive television needs to adapt to user groups rather than to individual users. In this paper, we explore different ways in which individual user models can be combined to adapt to groups. We present an experiment on how real people make decisions for groups based on data about individuals. It is explored how this relates to the issue of modeling groups of learners.
